Club Background

AH & BC, or ‘Amsterdam’, is one of the largest and most successful hockey clubs of the country. The club has 2300 members and in its 124-year existence it has won the vast majority of titles in the Netherlands. Both the men and women usually top the league, which makes Amsterdam unique in the national hockey world.

Amsterdam is also the oldest hockey club in the Netherlands and in Europe. Since its inception in 1892, the club won 21 league titles. The last men’s title was in 2012 whilst the women last claimed the league title in 2013.

Many top players are from their own youth academy in Amsterdam, making it one of the most prestigious academies in Europe.

Club Training Facilities

Amsterdam Hockey and Bandy Club’s facilities include two grass pitches, three water based pitches and a stadium which hosts the men’s and women’s televised first team matches weekly. The clubhouse offers the ideal venue to relax after a hard days training and lunches during the tour will be provided by the club’s in-house catering staff.
